Yolik Naal has always felt that art is her natural language. Her interests extend beyond a single technique – she experiments with sculpture, painting and drawing, constantly seeking new means of expression and materials. But ceramic is and will always be her most beloved form of expression above all others.
"I love the unpredictability of clay, the ability to work quickly, and the immediate reward of seeing an idea come to life in the material." - she said.

The creative process – from idea to finished masterpiece
Each piece of jewelry that leaves Yolik's studio begins with an inspiration. Fairy-tale motifs, nature, mythology, or the underwater world – all of these influence her creations. Sketching and designing
The creative process starts with a sketch. Yolik draws the outlines of future designs on paper, experimenting with shapes and proportions. This is the moment she decides whether the jewelry will be more subtle and minimalist or rich in details and ornaments.
Shaping the porcelain
After the design is ready, it's time to work with porcelain – one of the most difficult yet rewarding and durable materials. Yolik Naal hand-forms all the elements from clay; they are not cast from any molds. This stage requires great precision because raw porcelain is extremely fragile.
Firing at high temperature
Dry pieces are placed in the kiln, where they are fired at temperatures exceeding 1250-1300°C. This moment determines the durability and final structure of the jewelry. High heat makes the porcelain hard and durable, and its surface gains a characteristic, subtle smoothness.
Painting and glazing
After the first firing, it's time for hand painting. Yolik uses delicate brushes and special ceramic paints, which give each piece of jewelry its unique character. .
Next, the jewelry is coated with a layer of transparent glaze, giving it a shine and additional protection. The second firing in the kiln secures all the details and ensures their durability. Many times, the jewelry needs additional firing, especially when adding 24-carat gold luster to the pieces.
Assembly and finishing
The final stage is perfecting the details – assembling silver or gold-plated elements, joining porcelain shapes into larger compositions, and testing the finished product. Each piece of jewelry is carefully inspected for quality to meet the highest standards of handmade craftsmanship.
