Tarot and the clay
And then the day arrived when the wave of creative ideas turned into a slow trickle of dirty water - drip, drip, drip - echoing like some industrial torture chamber, announcing that there were no more worthwhile ideas for new artistic endeavors.
Every artist knows that feeling. The silence after the storm. The blank space that used to be overflowing with sketches, colors, and unfinished handmade jewelry concepts.
Over the years of being a full-time artist, I’ve developed several ways of dealing with a blocked creative flow. One method that never fails is to face - no, to bombard yourself - with images. Visual inspiration is everywhere if you’re willing to look.
I’ve always loved Vedic astrology and the language of archetypes and parables. So one day, while scrolling, my eyes landed on a beautiful photograph of tarot cards. Tarot and I aren’t exactly best friends – I always feel like it’s mocking me – but I can’t deny the incredible artistry of its designs. And suddenly it hit me: what if I created tarot-inspired jewelry?
Eccentric, baroque, luxurious, porcelain jewelry that speaks in symbols – jewelry that holds conversation with archetypes.
I rushed to the dusty drawer deep inside an old dresser where I kept my deck of tarot cards. I pulled out three: The Sun, The Lovers, and The Magician. My sketchbook was waiting. I didn’t hesitate. Ideas for new art jewelry pieces poured down from the heavens, straight into my hands.

The Magician represents the moment when potential becomes real – the archetype of creative power and consciousness. It’s that spark when you realize you can shape your own reality through focus, intention, and belief in yourself.
The Lovers embody the eternal choice between heart and mind, but also the archetype of encounter – with another person, or with your own shadows. On a deeper level, they symbolize the merging of opposites: feminine and masculine, spiritual and physical, freedom and commitment.
The Sun radiates triumph, honesty, and joy. It’s the moment when you live fully, shining without fear, embodying your truth. Archetypally, it’s the enlightened child – glowing with the pure light of consciousness.
As I sketched, the shapes emerged naturally – gold curves, intricate engravings, and flowing ceramic details capturing the essence of each card. Every piece of this tarot jewelry collection became a small story of transformation, balance, and awakening.
Because sometimes inspiration isn’t gone – it’s just waiting for a new symbol to call it back.
